Announcing Three New Guides in Our Toolkit Section
Harpal Singh ji’s case is one of over 102 reported anti-Sikh hate crimes committed in the United States within the last 6 months.1 The leading category of assaults have occurred in residences and homes, followed by public access avenues such as highways, roads, streets, sidewalks, etc.
The reality is these are only the incidents that have been documented. If we were to investigate and include incidents that weren’t reported to law enforcement, that number would likely be much higher.
Let us be clear. We believe that you have a right to life. We also believe that you have a right to defend your life and the lives of those innocents around you (within reasonable means). That’s why we have released the first three guides of more to be released under the Physical Protection Toolkit on our new website.
- Preventing Victimization: The 3 Cs Safety Framework
- Utilizing Self Defense: Learn the Five Elements of Self Defense to Stay Safe and Avoid Legal Trouble
- Gurdwara Security Team Fundamentals: Roles
These three guides, catered towards Sikhs, present relevant safety and security concepts in an easy and quick-to-digest manner, enabling you to understand and apply that information in the future to protect yourself and care for others in the communities you’re a part of. That being said, we are always open to and welcome ideas or suggestions and will announce when new guides are added to the toolkit here on Substack.
Sri Akaal Ji Sahai.
